The power of grief and sorrow

There are few in this life who might see grief and sorrow as gateways to joy and love, but that is what they are.

And we ignore and attempt to box grief and sorrow up, or carry them alone, in our pocket, at our peril.

We say we want more joy, more happiness, more love, more health, more unity.

We won't feel any of those to the depth we desire until we're prepared to feel the full weight of our grief and our sorrow.

And I don't just mean our grief and sorrow related to personal loss, I mean the intangible (and not easily comprehended with the tools we currently provide), real sorrow we carry for the earth, for what has and is being done to the land and to one another, and the sadness we carry for the things that are not as we would hope.

In love and appreciation of Francis Weller and all those in his lineage, and as always in gratitude to David Whyte for his words.

If you are looking for a loving hand to hold you as you journey with grief, please explore my offerings here.

With love
